I'm a self-confessed digi scrapping addict . . .

At Digital Scrapper, our kit this month is by Anna Aspnes. She's a mega talent in the digi scrapping world. Anna makes 'making art' attainable for the masses.

Yesterday I was busy sewing some curtains but right in the middle of it all, I noticed the squirrels running around outside and chattering up a storm. My mind went to a photo I took last fall and almost like a zombie I walked to the computer and started creating . . . this is what I ended up with.

I am a self-confessed digi scrapper addict. I've been doing it for four years and the impulse is not waning . . . in fact it's becoming stronger. I scour the galleries for inspiration and let me tell you there are some people out there that are absolutely brilliant.

When I started my blog I made the decision to not make it about scrapbooking. I don't regret my decision since variety is the spice of life, right? And my blog forces me to concentrate on other aspects of my life.

I've been contemplating starting another blog just for scrapbooking. Just to share my 'stuff', things I've learned, and to connect with other addicts. Oh, where oh where does it end? But I can't get it out of my mind and if there is one thing I've learned in life, it is to listen to that voice in your head - you just never know where it will lead you!

Right now, I know it led me away from finishing up my curtains . . .

  1. Barb, I'm going to show my ignorance here...what the heck...when you scrapbook digitally how exactly do you use or view your pages? Is there a book like format that you open and then flip through like the online magazines? I understand that you can print out your books, but I wondered if some of it could remain all digital?

  3. Before I actually got so heavy into photography I was a digi scrap addict as well. Love it. So easy and NO mess, I think the No mess wins out over all. I haven't really done much lately because of the blog & photography, but I know I will eventually get back at it. Whatever you do, Barb, you do well. I would definitely follow your new blog if you opted to begin.

  4. Okay, Barb, first of all your pictures are insane (gorgeous), that graphic of the squirrel is amazing, and that wreath on your door is surreal. And a tutorial!! I want it. ;) Thank you.

Keep creating!! I almost started another blog today, but it's all part of me so I include the creativity with the moments of quiet reflection too. Maybe you can add a page on your top menu bar vs. a whole second blog, which is simpler.

    Thank you for stopping by.
    Much love!

  6. This photo looks fantastic Barb! I know what you mean to listening to that voice in your head. I was listening to mine and as a result my Etsy shop is now open!!! I can't believe it.
