Lately I've been feeling overwhelmed (mostly creatively) and I've been 'tuning' out. So I asked some digi scrapping friends what they do when this happens to them. I was inundated with loving comments and friendly suggestions. Their heartfelt comments blew me away.
For the next while I'm going to do as one friend suggested which was 'just do one thing. when you get that done, do one more thing. just do something'. That's what I'm doing today. I'm not overly excited about my creation today, but at least I did it.
Can you believe this is a hollyhock?
Today Kim quoted Ludwig Mies van der Rohe when she said 'less is more'. I'm thinking that may apply to more than textures . . .
gasp.....

ReplyDeleteOf course, I'm just kicking myself ever so gently for not joining in on Kim's latest class endeavor. But I have difficulty keeping up with what I have now, so I'll be happy to see what you and others do. I was so surprised when I read that this is a hollyhock. It's pink, delicate, dreamy...and just plain wonderful, Barb.

ReplyDeleteI love this, Barb -- your post and your image both really spoke to me. I am one of those guilty of going overboard with the textures, and I can only aspire to soft, delicate results such as yours.
