The Art of Photography - Class 3

Focal length 35mm Manual focus

Exercise 6: Controlling Depth-of-Field when photographing a macro subject (*yawn*)
Last night. Two hours into the class. I can’t think anymore. I really want to get this, I really do. And I think I am. But, by 9:00 I’m starting to feel that I’m operating on nothing more than a 40watt bulb and I’m so tired. However, I manage to get the proper settings and get a decent result when photographing the pile of coins on the table. Total embarrassment averted, whew! This morning I re-did the exercise using these buttons. Both photos are acceptable. It’s just deciding what you want and knowing how to do it. Onward and upward.
