Life of Pi - have you read it?




I read this book a few years ago and I've already blogged about it once. But bear with me folks - the movie is coming out on November 21st and I'm beyond excited.

I'm not sure how they are going to get this amazing book onto the big screen but I've seen the Trailer and I get serious goosebumps! Watch it and tell me you don't.

I finally convinced hubby to read the book. When he was finished, he said what I was expecting: "I don't get it". We got into quite the lively discussion as I tried to explain to him why it hit me so BIG. Then I showed him what I had since learned about the book by reading several analyses wherein a livelier discussion followed - which in itself was great: lively discussions with hubby where I know what I'm talking about and definitely have an opinion.

Please don't go and read about it - I urge you to read the book first.

I'm reading it again - and will be standing in line on November 21st.

    I have not read it yet. In fact, I had never heard of it prior to seeing the trailer for the movie. But, now that I have seen the movie advertised, I am totally intrigued. Saw the book near the checkout at Hastings when we went to rent movies last weekend. Might just have to pick up a copy!!!

    I did read the book several years ago, our whole book club read it. We had quite the discussion. I have seen the trailers and I am blown away by the photography. I will be right behind you in line to see this movie. If you want to have discussions with your husband....go see "Cloud Atlas" and then tell me what you think.
