Last evening I finally got up off my (
butt) to go for a walk. Walking is second only to yoga in making me feel refreshed and renewed. I know - so cliche - but so true.
I soaked up all the sights, sounds, and smells: golden sunlight spreading warmth over everything, honking geese gathering for the long flight ahead, and sweet wood smoke filtering through the trees.
I can't believe that September is almost over . . . and how sad that makes me feel.
I used one layer of Kim Klassen's "partings" on this photo. How fitting.
Beautiful autumnal color palette in this photo. The texture is perfect for it, too. I am more than ready to say goodbye to September for October will bring cooler temps our way.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! I may have to give yoga a try again...

ReplyDeleteLove those round bales! gorgeously textured.
ReplyDeleteCalm and peaceful - those were the first words that came to my mind when I saw this photo. Your words just emphasize that. Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteLovely work.
ReplyDeleteLove your autumn photo today Barb. Also love your 2011 autumn mantel photo. Guess I love all the autumn colors, and you always have such lovely ones.
ReplyDeleteThis is just lovely, Barb. It makes me feel a connection to so much that is long past yet clearly still within reach of my memory.
ReplyDeleteIt is always a mix of feelings with the change of seasons and times of the year. I've learned to just keep rolling along and oftentimes I even forget when it is!!! [I am sure this comes of living where it is spring and summer-like year-round]
nice to "meet" you here in Texture Tuesday. your use of Partings made me see new possibilities. thanks so much!!
Barb, this is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you edited it.
Have a wonderful weekend!
