When they fade, it is as if the sun has gone in. I lovel them. More than I ever loved bulb fields. Poppy fields are good too, but don't last as long. The best was three years ago, when the journey to my studio passed a bright red poppy field, a yellow rape field and a blue flax fiedl, all next to each other. Crop rotation meant that this hasn't happened since.
