Going out into the garden after being away for a week and having had four inches of rain is a bit daunting.
Overgrown is an Understatement.
"I have a garden of my own,
But so with roses overgrown,
And lilies, that you would it guess
To be a little wilderness."
Andrew Marvell
I hear you loud and clear, Barb. Me too. I mowed today, so one thing is crossed off my list. :)

ReplyDeletei only wish we could get some of your rain. we're parched, baked, seared, crispy and o so dry here in texas!
Gorgeous lily shot. We have not had so much as four droplets of rain and at 4pm this afternoon my car was telling me it was 109F outside - when I got out I believed it to be true. Enjoy your beautiful garden.

ReplyDeleteWe're overgrown, too. Well, ok, we're always overgrown.
Beautiful macro! My lillies are not looking that good!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous capture, I love the angle of view making the stamens look like tiny dancers on a merry-go-round.

ReplyDeleteIs that a tiger lily? We had bunches and bunches of them around our house when I was growing up...they bring back great memories of fun summers! Thanks for sharing this pretty shot! :)
