Along the fence

One day last summer as I was driving home, I was not expecting to see these poppies - there were hundreds of them lining a fence at a local campground and they had never been there in previous years. I was absolutely blown away - I thought they were so cheery and they seemed to be saying 'come on in and stay a while'.

Joining the fun over at 'Life-n-Reflection's Weekend Texture Twist. I used Kristy's textures 'Tall Tale' twice, one on multiply and one on soft light. Then I added 'Post Card' on hard light. I used layer masks to hide some of the effects. Lastly I added one paper from 'Recollections' by Joanne Brisebois and put it on multiply. Thank you Kristy for the free textures - I love your blog!

  14. Beautiful work. They are not so common here but I was just in Italy and there were many road sides full of these. Like we were driving I wanted to stop all the time to shoot them but I was the only one who was interested so we carrie on.
